Wimal Weerawansa remanded

Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne ordered that the leader of the National Freedom Front MP Wimal Weerawansa be remanded till January 24.

The former minister was earlier arrested by the FCID after he appeared before the police Financial Crimes Investigation Division, earlier Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, former Deputy General Manager of the State Engineering Corporation Samantha Lokuhenna was also arrested and remanded till the January 24.
