No plan to join with JO – Priyankara Jayaratne

Former State Minister Priyankara Jayaratne has said there is no plant to join with Joint Opposition.

He has said this to Neth News. As he said in his words,

“No any connection of any activity of Ministry with my resignation. I got this decision after a long discussion. My collegues and Provincial Members continuously asked me to resign. My collegues showed me their dislike against treasury bond issues, giving 15,000 acres to China, Super Minister act, etc. Some UNP members of government blame us, just as this is their government. We were stay there on a decision of a Central Committee of SLFP. My hope is to create a SLFP government as soon as possible. After I quit, Mahinda Amaraweera, Anura Yapa, Dayasiri Jayasekara called me and asked why are you so hurry to quit. They said if taking a decision.. will take it all together.”
