Putin, Trump top Forbes’ 2016 ‘World’s Most Powerful People’ list

Its estimated that nearly 7.4 billion people live on this earth, but can you just imagine these 74 people who would turn the world around.
Forbes’ annual ranking of the World’s Most Powerful People identifies one person out of every 100 million whose actions mean the most.

Candidates from various walk of life around the globe were measured their power along four dimensions.

Russian President Vladimir Putin was ranked number one as the world’s most powerful person. From the motherland to Syria to the U.S. presidential elections, Russia’s leader continues to get what he wants.

President-elect Donald Trump rocketed from No. 72 on Forbes annual list of “The World’s Most Powerful People” in 2015 to No. 2 this time around.

The third most powerful person in the world also happens to be the most powerful woman: Angela Merkel, the chancellor of Germany and the backbone of the European Union.
